Monday Bunday

Rabbits are becoming increasingly popular pets, it would seem. Just the other day when I was at our little computer store, I wordlessly held up my severed AC adapter cord and BOTH the store owner and the other customer said "Rabbit!". I politely endured a bunny proofing lecture from the customer and, luckily, I didn't have to buy the entire adapter cord, just half. Martha Stewart caught the Easter bunny wave see HERE. It is good to get the word out about rabbits being a long term commitment. Having had Bandit for 9 years I think one of the really interesting things about rabbits is that they never stop surprising you, there is always a new trick, a new bun joke or learned skill. For instance, just last night I was laying on the floor doing my head and back stretches and Tyler gets on my stomach, then he does a bunny up (standing on hind legs) while there! We need an agent, we are ready for prime time.

Thanks to Junkstylediva for the Martha Stewart link. JSDiva has a bad sprained foot and I wish her speedy healing.

May everyone enjoy a rabbit centered week.

I hope Bunny didn't get a shock when he bit the power cord! Ouch!(He looks fine and dandy to me though. Maybe he likes his nibbles spicy!)

I love the little video. And I'm glad more people are learning about rabbits. I just hope they're learning the right lessons.

Bunnies are addictive, aren't they? Two years ago if you told me I'd be completely obsessed I'd say you're nuts.

Amelia is so cute. I love how her ears are between up and down in this video!

CGP-Nice to have you on the good ship bunipop.
BG-I hope so too, I watched the videos, they seemed pretty OK, was there anything suspect, sort to speak?
L-totally addictive is right LOL
RB-Tyler's trick was very impressive, I want him to do it again! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been there.

Thanks for the tip on health :D Today they are talking of closing the schools, which they should! Husband forbid the children to go to school..but for how long is a big question here.

Wow.. you had Bandit for 9 years, that's quite long. So your rabbits have been practising their biting skills on your wires...even the store owner could make a good guess. Here's to better 'rabbity' love, that's the term the children like to give them..during our rabbity days :P

I dunno .. maybe Tyler was being like a gorilla thumping his chest over some conquest.

I remember vividly the first time I heard Martha Stewart on radio some years ago. She was having a dinner party for 80 that night, at her home. She had just left her husband at the commuter train, in the early morning, for his job, having gotten up and making them both eggs benedict .. gathered the eggs fresh herself .. and fresh squeezed orange juice. There were some kids gotten dressed, read too, fed, discussed a few foreign affairs with, and off to school as well. Now she was stopping by a field along a rural Connecticut road (on her way home from the station) to gather large armsful of wild flowers and fragrant herbs .. all of which she would arrange into individual boquets tied with hand-knitted ribbons to place upon each guest's plate, cmplete with hand calligraphied name tags on paper she had made the evening before while completeing a column on coastal living on a budget for the New Yorker and discussing the Chinese approach to sausage making with her dear neighbor ..... etc etc .... I wondered how a guy went about getting a woman like that!

I had a rabbit once. Owh, twice but I guess I wasn't cut to be a mama-rabbit. Still, some good and fun memories with them linger.
