Over Due and New
First and foremost I have been having fun with ANALOG filters and frames.

This is the first photo I Analogged, I was feeling nostalgic for Hermes. At long last I received a photo of Hermes with his new bunwife, unfortunately is was a poor print out so I can't share it. Well, I guess I could, maybe in my next post.

And here is an Analogged Harriet, this photo was, in sense, saved by the filter with brought out the darks, before the whole thing was very monochromatic. Harriet has been living on her own between main pens. Sydney has always chased her, but recently Harriet has been thumping out it. I am hoping it is somehow a step to combining her with Amelia.

And here she is, I love what happened to this photo. Already a strange one now it looks like a Victorian portraits.

And Sydney, we almost lost Sydney on Friday. Thursday evening she skipped her greens but seemed fine otherwise, it is something she sometimes does with no ill effect. Friday morning she still seemed to not be eating, but I had to go to work. By the afternoon she was getting cold and lethargic. I made an appointment with a rabbit vet I did not know. Her temp was 92, rabbits should be over 100 up to 105. There were no blocks in her stomach, but it is dangerous to feed a cold rabbit. Towels warmed on the heater did the trick, she perked up, had some assist feeding and by midnight was boxing with Amelia through the fence.

Tyler as art bun and ladies man.

Our second foster, did I not say no more fosters? this is Bernadette. She is full of piss and vinegar. The most vocal rabbit I have met, honking, grunting, whimpering. The vet could find anything wrong with her lungs, which I wondered might explain some of her noises, and thought it most likely "behavioral". She'll be appearing on Disapproving Rabbits sometime this week, and that will probably be the only thing she approves off.

And finally Radish, he is getting more friendly and decided he loves to be petted, we are working on being picked up and carried...
Next time: Rabbit Massage, Hermes and His Bunwife and whatever happened to the Water Dragon?

Costumes
Tyler is thinking of going as a Dead Bunny, definitely very scary.
Harriet thought it would look cool and scary and kinda, I dunno, steampunkish if it looked like she was pierced with a cardboard tube.
Work in progress for that one.
Amelia would like to go as that popular Santa Cruz attraction The Mystery Spot, where gravity seems to defy the laws of physics.
Possibly a little too conceptual....
Sydney and Hermes are still working up some ideas.

BunAssistant
First thanks to everyone for comments, I love getting them and reading them. Although it would appear I am not getting around the blogosphere much these days, actually I'm still visiting, it's just been a bit crazy and, frankly, just going to bunny blogs makes it almost better. This long weekend I'm at a seminar, so my able assistant, the DS, is on rabbit and photo duty. Here's today's pic, Tyler either showing his curves or pantomiming "A Twist of Fate".

A proof of Tsunami Relief project print. It's not perfect, never will be, there's still little tweaking here and there, but this is the basic color scheme. I'll start editioning soon.
Not a very good photo of the print, but you get the idea.

Bagged
Tyler shows that getting a bun in a bag is as easy as
ONE (1)
TWO (2)
THREE (3)
providing the bag in question is a hay bag.

Shapeshifter
In just five minutes Tyler changed his shape at least as many times, here are just a few examples. All photos are Tyler on 04/24/2011 as part of the Bun-A-Day-Plan for the Year of the Rabbit. If you are not yet a follower, join the party! it's over to the right.

Being Doing
Getting concerned that I was posting too many photos of rabbits lounging around and looking cute, my plan for today was to get some action pics. Alas actually capturing Sydney jumping over Tyler or some other Cirque de Soleil worthy bunny trick was not in the cards. However this photo shows Amelia exhibiting some interesting learned behavior. About two months ago I switched from Eco Straw as the bottom layer of the litter box, the top layer being hay, to Country Cat. Now the more economical Country Cat is just pellets made out of organic wheatgrass, not much different than the Eco Straw, unless you are a rabbit with discriminating tastes. Sydney was the first to discover the taste treat in the fresh box and I would see round holes in the hay from with the wheat grass pellets had been extracted. Pretty soon all the rabbits were doing it. Today I didn't put any Country Cat layer in because being at the end of the hay I had lots of fine bits that seemed just perfect as the bottom layer. And yet every rabbit is still acting as if they are finding tasty treats in the bottom of the box. How long will it take to unlearn the behavior? How long does behavior take to change after the reward is no longer extant? Or is the digging reward enough? Is being a rabbit in a fresh hay box reward enough?
