Laying next to the water bowls is a very popular activity. I am not sure if the nearness of water is desirable or if it is some sort of power play, or both. I do know that the water bowls have to be secured with a bungee cord or they will be spilled during the shenanigans segment of the daily activities.

Those are some very relaxed bunny bums! And, just precious!
LOL, Jade! Some days the water bowl serves only as refreshment, and some days the water bowl is a toy--frisbee-ish.

I had to secure my lovebirds water container too, they bite EVERYTHING! the good thing about birds are, they dont eat a lot and easy to maintain, the only irritating thing is...they made way tooooo much noise! At least the buns give you peace :)
