Monday BunBunBunBunday

Harriet shadows the spotted Syd.

Nobody has called about Harriet. It seems that she is, if we can integrate her, one of the gang here at the Rabboratory. She'll go in for her spay next week and then after an as yet undetermined recovery time, I'll try to bond the four of them....I'm thinking I should try introducing them, without fencing, one at a time; preferably in a neutral spot like the bathtub or a pen outside.

Tyler and Harriet lounge while Amelia shows concern for
the difficulties of photographing a very dark rabbit.

Since she has been here Harriet has been in a pen where everybun can see her and interact with her through the bars. There has been a little boxing and and the only time there was much upset was when she was in the kitchen and Tyler was in the Rabboratory; everything was wrong and they each blamed the other. There has been lots and lots of pooping and peeing on both sides of the fence. When she first arrived it had seemed like Harriet would be the queen of box habits, but now that she feels she needs to demarcate her space, she's got both barrels blazing and the other rabbits aren't much better.

Harriet on a bun-errand.....

Often all rabbits are quite relaxed and I have them close while eating. There has been flopping on both sides, a good sign! Harriet gets to go out in the yard with supervision. Here she seems to have a set pattern of places she needs to go and things to chin, so far she has not deviated from it. When I need to get her in I herd her into the kitchen and pick her up there, she'd rather not be picked up outside, it's humiliating.

Amelia loves to go out on the deck and thinks
she ought to be allowed into the garden too....

Have a good week!

I love the shot of Amelia with airplane ears. Wheee!!!

Poor Harriet, abandoned by her humans. I'm so glad she found you and that she might fit in well with the other buns.

One big happy bunfamily!

When Blogger rescinded my commenting in embedded comments priveleges they also took away my Followers as well as my ability to see everyone else's. Now that they've given them back to me I can see some changes here and there. WOW! I generally don't get too excited about these things, do it more as a common courtesy, but you've about reached Prom Queen status. That's such great exposure for you, your prints, and the buns - all house rabbits, actually.

And I'm very jealous that you now have four bunnehs and I have nun. :( But if someone is going to have all the extras I'm glad it's you.

You know what I'd love...to be there, rubbing noses with these 4buns, they are too cute...just wondering if you will keep adopting, and end up like me having had 9 at one time. Amelia is so adorable, love her ears..esp the picture with one lop sided hehe :) Happy bun-bon-ding! and I guess you'll have to have extra classes to buy more food for them haha!

Ah yes, like Tam says - bring in a new bun = turn your home into a toilet!

Love the thing about it being humiliating to be picked up outside. That comment shows SUCH understanding for the bunny temperament!

Flopping on both sides of Harriet's fence sure is a good sign, but....does that mean you live in a flop house?

Love reading about your buns! Hmmm, that doesn't sound quite right. Also not quite right: my word verification is "fistwedn"

DKM- we are working to being this concept to reality..
BG- Yes, abandoned, and luckier than some other buns, she had no signs of abuse, physical or mental. She has every right to be disappointed in her previous humans....
PJ-Yes, i seem to have a few followers, it mostly happened when somehow I got into the Blogs of Note listing. I'm almost to 200! I think a bell rings when you get to 200 :) I can send you some rabbit poop to put in your yard, I think it attracts other bunnehs!
MK-I cannot even imagine more than 4....we are dedicating a garden bed to the rabbits.
T-the up side is that the litter boxes don't need much cleaning...
CC-and when people say don't they poop everywhere? I still say oh no they are all box trained.....I don't want to give them bad press.
A- they sure are :)
C-Yes, it does, but without the infestation of bed bugs and fleas, just rabbits.
E- it is OK to say buns in this context, everything in contextual.....but maybe not word verfications...

I'm sure they will all integrate beautifully! Amelia has such wonderful ears...

It's a good thing we humans dont mark our territory like bunnies do. That could get messy. Harriet looks wonderful. I love her colors. Soon you will be a quad instead of a trio. I love it!

you did such a good job of bonding Amelia with Sydney and Tyler, could Harriet not be bonded in the same way?
I've been inspired by your bonding but have to think carefully with Arabella and Wesley.

L-hey, thanks for enjoying, you are welcome any time!
AB-isn't that nose just too much? I confess I have to kiss it as often as possible.
