Monday Bunday

Tyler was complaining that he hasn't had adequate face time on the blog and that we finally had some light so couldn't I take some pictures of him? After he saw them he thought he ought to go get a job as a male model, apparently he has forgotten how devastatingly handsome he is.

Look me in the eye and deny me anything, I dare you!

One of his many soft sides.....

Which is my best side? That would be which ever one you are lucky enough to see.

On another front it was reported to me last week that there was a loose rabbit around the neighborhood. Although I looked here and there, I decided to let karma have her way in this situation. On Saturday morning this rabbit hopped down the driveway and into the backyard. I had a little chat with her, she let me pet and pick her up. It was raining, so she got a towel dry and has been living in a fenced in bathroom. She says her name is Harriet, she a dark agouti, very soft, very tame. The other rabbits have been pretty emotional since her arrival with a lot of chasing and such like. Interestingly there is less of an interest in her than there was in Amelia and there is not so much marking (not yet at any rate). I'm not sure if I'm up for having FOUR rabbits, but for the time being I think I can take it; one bun at a time.

She's a little darker than this photo shows and her fur is in really good condition, not patchy like it looks here. Guess a week of rainwater rinses does something....

Have a really interesting week.

Tyler should be a model - hey's a strikingly handsome boy indeed! And Harriet is lovely. I'm glad she found you! I wonder if the others would take to her quicker because of just finishing the bonding process with Amelia...

Tyler is furry magnificant on both sides!
We are so happy that Harriet let you rescue her! She must have heard on the streets there were good eats and shelter at your warren.

I love how Tyler has his front paw lifted up in that first photo! Definitely male model material!!

Welcome, Harriet! How lucky of her to stumble upon your house. And I'm amazed she let you pick her up and carry her in! She must be a good judge of character. Hope things work out with all four, but if not she's on her way to a good life either way.

Gosh Diana, these bunnies sure know where to go. I take it you have a breeder around the neighborhood? I like Harriet's look and Tyler is just too handsome.

We all agree - Tyler is swoon-worthy and Rabbits4!

Diana, you must give a "lost bunny shelter" vibe! What does BF say? (I would tell you what BF here would say, but I don't use such words online.) Tyler is quite gorgeous, of course, and I'm betting Harriet will be quite lovely to photograph as well.

MOC- perhaps, yes, about the boding, Harriet seems a more mature bun, very stable. If she stays she would be marvelous therapy rabbit. (Someone has to go to work around here).
S & A- perhaps putting rabbit poops in the front garden is a give away....
RB-she is exceptionally tame.
C- There are three houses that I know of breeding rabbits for eating. Harriet doesn't seem the eating type....I suspect she might be a dumped child pet...
DK &Fs-They will all be vacationing at your house!
G-At this point I have attracted a total of 5 lost bunnies....highly suspicious. BF is not so happy, but he was the one to suggest she come in out of the rain. I think he figures it is good for me to be distracted by rabbits while he watches sports and such; fair play and all that.

Tyler is gorgeous - no wonder he has two "girlfriends." And lucky Harriet to have found you! The bunnies know where to go, that's for sure.

OH ... MY ... GOSH.

I shudder to think of what would happen if a tame rabbit hopped down our drive-way.

You have a big heart.

(Did that rabbit REALLY say her name was Harriet to you?)

d. moll, l.ac. said...

RG-well if a tame rabbit came to your driveway the same thing would happen and you know it! No, she didn't actually say Harriet (what you think I'm nuts?), I just tried a few names and that one settled in.
MK- Harriet has good connotations for me and it has "hare" in it!
Shell-It all just really makes me wonder.....
T- she has white front mittens to go with Amelia's grey.....
AFT-I just hope word will get out that the house is full..
BG-the girls do swoon.....and he is a very good groomer......can he handle three girl friends?

There must be a karmic marker at your house, Diana, " Gud Qi Lives Here", why else would all these beauties keep turning up?? >o> Keep up the gud work, D & Co.

Things have a funny way of lining up. I'm sure Harriet was feeling like this was the end of her road and then karma whispered in her big ear "Hey, turn left up this driveway". Life "is what it is" and everything works itself out for the best. That's probably why I'm in charge of carrying the snapping turtles back down the driveway to the creek or across the roads. :-) She's a stunning new addition to your collection by the way!

Hi there. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your bunnies!
In response to your question - yes, the 5 bunnies (aside from Patches and Nutmeg) are siblings, so they have never known not having each other and are all bonded. Patches and Nutmeg, our other 2 are bonded, but not with the 5~ Makes for an interesting household. :)

Tyler is a handsome bun -- no doubt about it.

Hmmmmm...four rabbits. Harriet is lovely. Looks like she found what she was looking for!
