Monday Bunday:Digger Bun

A break in the weather allows for Harriet to go out into the garden and Amelia to go out onto her deck, which has been enlarged by a few more fencing panels. We realize that some of our friends are in snow storms and what passes for a storm on the central California Coast would constitute a break for them, we do realize that........

Amelia wonders what Harriet has found
to do on the other side of the fence.

Investigation reveals a major project underway.

Harriet asks what how we like her earthwork.

Epilogue: the bench under which Harriet chose to place her art project was moved and the hole filled in. It was explained to Harriet that this was for her own safety because the tunnel construction was unstable and could collapse. She took this in stride and stretched out luxuriously in the soft damp earth. Later she had to get her white mittens washed.....

I love Harriet's wiggly bunny butt as she digs.

We had some pleasant weather here this weekend, too. It's nice when the bunnies get to enjoy the sunshine.

What a lovely site... a gorgeous happy bunny doing what she loves. Humph isn't much of a digger. Too lazy. Men!

Uh-oh. You, Harriet, are going to be hell on wheels. We know these things about bunnies who like to have projects....

Good job Harriet.

Silver is a digger too. That is what she uses her towel pile for. Every day for years, she has dug in her towel pile.

Nice dig, Harriet!!! D.- Don't you know how offensive it is to insult a rabbit's holes, especially a lady-bun's??

I don't know about everyone else in NY, but we went to Windham mountain this weekend and got SLAMMED with a blizzard. I mean, snow drifts taller than me!! (the human, not the buns)

Good luck to everyone else in the storms. We're all having quite a winter.

Harriet is indeed a seasoned excavator - I can see that she is busy with either a big stone or a root in the way under there!

Perhaps Amelia would like to help?

It must be nice to dig in earth! Mario has been digging every morning in the same corner of his cage for years and has yet to make any progress!

Goldie has a digging project in the lower floor of her condo daily as well. No progress but no sign of slacking off either.

Seems like I saw Holly (Detroit) White on your web-site e-mail. Ever hear from her? - no activity on that neat blog about homesteading in the condo for quite awhile.

Harriet! It's lovely to meet you. SO sorry we missed your intro.

I think the hole you dug was lovely and improved the garden greatly.... too bad humans have no taste!

You know she totally had a blast making that hole and she's totally mad at you for closing it up and washing her footies!
