Harvest

Despite being pretty much ignored all summer a few things grew to maturity in the Do Nothing Garden.

Tyler examines the onion harvest.

Harriet offers a second opinion.

"Hmmm...Harriet, since we don't want to eat these, how about we fling them at the person(s) who didn't plant a more rabbit-centric vegetable garden?"

"I concur wholeheartedly with that opinion, Tyler."

I'd say FF has nailed that convo perfectly.

Hubby gets stuff from the Garden of Weeden like that--planted, more or less ignored, grew anyway.

We did not do so well with our garden this year. Sometimes keeping everybody alive is a higher priority.

I didnt know bunnies ate onions...I have too much flowers in the garden but totally hopeless when it comes to vege :( Do you know this herb, Sabah snake grass, its supposed to be an alternative traditional herb for the big C. Hope you are doing good...big hugs for the buns too :) love...MK

Garden of Do Nothing sounds quite nice, I should get one!

My buns won't touch onions. I've tried (because I hate raw onions, so if they come on a salad, they're going in the trash anyway).

FF-spot on as usual.
J-yes, most gardens will actually take care of themselves.
C-certainly I failed on the latter.
MK-if bunnies ate onions these would be gone. I have not heard of Snake Grass, will check it out.
L-they were hopeful, and later somebun ate a bit of onion skin. I only eat my onions cooked, the red ones are sweet and mellow.

So what is Harriet's final verdict?

A-hold the onions hostage for parsley

I got some nice chard and kale once I pulled back all the dead potato vines and volunteer nasturtiums!

Maybe try those big sweet onions!

Those look like some good onions! Good for flinging at hoomins too ... good idea FF! I put onions in everything. My buns won't even eat bananas out of my hands if I've chopped onions or garlic recently ... They do not like that smell.
