Let's see ... hmmm ... yes, it is coming to me.

this is "Rabbit in Repose" by La'Flandeur in either 1878 or 9, the records are not clear on this. La'Flandeur was later quite famous for his renderings of extinct birds for the Italian Museum of Ornithology which unfortunately burned to the ground in 1931.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. This piece of work was stolen from a private collection in 1996 - how do YoU come to have it? Hmmmm?

RG has solved the mystery of the missing piece of art. And now we also know that Harriet's great, great, great, great... grandbun was Durer's model.

"Black Queen In Repose" would make a lovely addition to anybun's art collection. :)

WV: furviti--little-known rabbit artist from the Renaissance. He painted with his cotton tail dipped in pigment and was the first to incorporate shedded fur into his artwork.

" A Young Hare" by Albrecht Durer? Or "The Harriet" by Diana Moll?
