Monday Bunday

Amelia and Harriet in a "groom me, groom me" stand off during a bonding session. A second before they were nose to nose and had been that way for a good minute.

Fishing for Sydney using Dandelion bait. Both she and Tyler prefer "dandies" over other offered greens and and will turn their respective noses up at Romaine and Escarole.

Tyler finds that eating a nice "dandie" from the middle doubles the satisfaction.

Not the happiest bun in the world, please, don't call PETA she was on the chair for 2 seconds...

I took Harriet and Amelia to my Tai Chi class*. I wanted my students to experience soft alertness and animal energy close-up and personal. Both buns were will behaved and consented to being held different people. I didn't get any pictures of that, just this one of Amelia being not very happy on one of the chairs in the office. After everyone left I did a short bonding in the pen with the girls. Harriet nipped at Amelia early on. I'm getting the idea she will nip at her if feeling at all ill at ease, unsure, or overly excited. She seems very confident and relaxed, but really she is still settling into the warren here.

*No.1 Ladies' Tai Chi Health Club meets every Sunday at 9 a.m.

May I borrow Sydney and Tyler to clean the dandies out of my garden? I promise to keep the kittybits out of the way!

D- Sounds like things are going really well with the girls. I can't believe they tolerated being held by strangers! I don't think a little nip in a strange place is much to worry about, if that's all it was. Seems like they're doing great in their comfort zone, and that's what's really important.

My little gluttons will eat almost anything (except asparagus, much to Jon's dismay), but Gosh! Who doesn't love Dandelion greens?!?

N- Hmmm, well, you see the dandies they particularly addicted to are the ones from the Farmer's Market, so unless you have the same gourmet variety they may not be sufficiently tempted...
L-Well, there was the one time I had A and H together and went to get some greens for them and the excitement of the bag crinkling drove them mad, Harriet actually latched onto Amelia with her teeth and they were on their sides kicking. No bun was hurt. The Spots get excited and nippy when it's time to eat, this was the same thing, but a bit escalated.....

Bun energy, I like it. Did your students enjoy meeting the rabbits?

Razzy and Sugie love the dandies too. They are good bait for bunny fishing. ;) I also love the coffered ceiling in the photo. You know I would notice that. hee, hee, hee.

Bunny energy...it should come in pill form.

What's wrong with a handsome bunny in a red chair???

You BUY dandelions? Listen - send me $100 and there will be boxes full every day for a month shipped.

Love that standoff! High noon in the old west! I can't coax Fidgie with any greens, she will not eat from my hand or with me close :(

Anya was a dandelion addict too....

Great that things are going well between Harriet and Amelia

Freckles always has to look over the pile of dandylions to find exactly the right leaf. She winds up eating them all, so I don't know why she's so picky!

FAD- I think Freckles is being sure that the dandies are consumed in the correct order....some sor tof esoteric rabbit practice.
CGP-must be something good for all bunnies in dandelions.
MOC-Fidgie sure is secretive bun, a lot like Sydnay was, it takes awhile.
RG-These are not your garden variety dandies, these are gourmet sold for human consumption, I think they are really Chicory, but not sure. I spend about $24/mo on dandies for the warren. Amelia is just a little freaked by the strangeness and slipperiness of the chair. She is used do doing her own art direction and took great offense to being told what to do.
DKM-come on down!
BG-It was fun and not as farfetched as one might think. Martial arts styles originate in animals and study of their natural movement.
MM-I knew you would notice! and I know you will as horrified as I to know that BFs window coverings consist of ancient paper shades string up with rusty baling wire and attached to the top sill with a big nail.
C- They did, only one had ever held a rabbit before. One is thinking of adopting.....

I pick dandies from my yard. Too bad they don't eat horsetail too. (Our yard looks like hell because of them!)

I like the pic of the girls together.

Nice house, D, nice staging for a lagomorph stand-off (Groom me! Groom me!). So nice to see the siblings getting back to the basics, I'm sure the dandylions were tasty. And Amelia looks so comical with her snoze and pretty ears.

How fun! Buns in Tai Chi class..they are so happy to get all the attention I am sure. Lovely photos but I admit..I was more excited to see the background of the house..lots of wood which I love. Funny, we have so much wood here but every thing is tiles and concrete - that's how they sell the houses and to have real wood in the home, would cost a leg ..or two. Happy weekend Diana...love/M....more hugs for the buns for me. Oh, I did get a pair a buns for my garden..the non feeding or pooping ones.

d, i'm sorry but i'm going to call PETA. i have their number and everything. AND you should probably let M.kate know that sentences like "i admit i was more excited to see the background of the house..." should never be left in the comment section, email only. i think i'll call PETA on her too.

xop

A-Well, since it is my first offense I hope PETA will not be too harsh. As to the MK's comment the bunnies took offense and are sending her a pound of "beans".
MK-good to have bunnies anywhere, improves the Feng Shui immensely.
P-they are really quite competent art directors.
FOA-I think goats would eat your horsetail.

What an amazing thing, to take the bunnies to your class. I would LOVE something like that over here. I'm sure Humphrey would oblige - he is such a friendly little chap :-)

Good to read there is more progress with H and A.
