As you may have surmised from previous blurry photos I am very interested in movement. It is something that fascinates me, how people and animals move, how function creates form and vice versa, you can tell so much just by watching movement and such like. I won't go on and on. Only to say we all love to see rabbits hop, really one can't get enough of it, and Sydney has provided me with some nice hopping pics.
The preparation, Sydney gathers her haunches, only her head moves a little bit.
Mid-spring, hind and fore paws are gathered in the middle of the bun trajectory.
After the fore legs move forward they are still and hind legs catch up.
In all movement there is stillness and in stillness there is movement
and so it is with every bun. Tyler demonstrates stillness with movement.

Squee! Bunny bum!
Brilliant.
That second photo reminds me of Brancusi. Bun in space.
I love watching bunnies move, too! Mario seems to be either black or white. He's usually either zipping around uncontrollably or sitting still as a stone.
I love bunny movements too, from slight nose twitches to super high binkies!
Tyler looks very wise in the last photo, it's likely he knows the answers to all life's questions ;)
I'll be honest, I think they do more exercise than me..hooray for the spots ;p
Lively bunnies! Lovely to see!
Oooh, the Spots sure are artistic bunnies!
Love the movement pictures. And in stillness there is movement with the twitching of the nose.
I love the movement pics too!
Beautifully said, Diana - love the movement and the gracious gait of the bunnies. One day I will film Neville and Miss Eve in furry binkying motion together, whenever I manage to get them on camera. Tricky little bunners, they are...
I love movements too... but to get them into photos are hard.
Boy they can move when they want too!
Great pics! As a dancer, I find movement endlessly fascinating!
oh miss d,
it's been waaaaaaaay too long since i've visited my bunny friends....the best thing about bunnies or rather one of the best of the bajillion best things about bunnies is that you can tell them all about the terrible things going on in the world and they still make you smile, no matter what.
a fun thing to try to do with these motion shots is to follow the movement of the rabbit, trying to match it's direction and speed. you end up blurring the background instead, it's not easy, but if you catch it just right it usually produces an interesting image.
love the tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!
