Items

Item: I have finished some Moku Hanga toads;  the print is named Toad's Eye View.  Instead of doing gold leaf, I just painted in the eye with gold ink, I was too afraid of ruining an otherwise reasonable print. I've put one up for sale on Etsy (see left sidebar).  This action earns: 2 Nose Bumps from the Spots, there would be more but printing takes away from treat time.

Item: A 90 year old Italian woman was trapped for 2 days, when rescued and asked what she did the whole time, she answered that she crocheted. Always keep arts and crafts materials close at hand in case of emergency. This action earns: 5 Nose Bumps from the Spots.

Item: Despite my efforts to spend less at the Farmer's Market I have spent not much less. The reason being the music at the Market has taken a turn upward. Imagine if you will a woman playing a cello, a guy on an acoustic guitar who sings like Tome Waits on amphetamines, and a guy with a washboard. Got that? Now imagine them playing The Ramones "song" "I Wanna be Sedated" and you can actually understand the "lyrics". OK they get a dollar. Then there was this incredible duo; two guys one playing Pan pipes and the other supplying percussion by beating on a box and blowing a whistle. Fabulous, they got a dollar too. This actions earns: 5 Nose Bumps to each group from the Spots for kicking standards up a notch and a thump for me for not buying the favorite salad mix.

Item: I have to do my taxes today, I was going to get them done yesterday but, as you may know, we had no internet because several fiber optic cables got cut....... Taxes get: 5 Thumps from the Spots, they don't like numbers so very much either.

Good morning! I love Goldeneye the toad.

Along with everything else we lost in Ivan was an about to be born jewelry business and an already up and running book reselling business. I plan on having an etsy shop one day, and I do plan on reselling some of my finds. Thanks for the nice complement. You, BF, and The Spots have a hoppy weekend as well.

Isn't your big season approaching, Buns!?
The amazing NY puppy sends his regards and would like to see your farmer's market.
We have a good one here - at Union Square.
Not cheap but good for you....

Loved the anecdote about the old lady crocheting. Good for her.
Have a great w/e

The toad turned out great! And why the heck didn't you get the salad mix? As humans, we should know better.

OK ... let's review the facts here ...
Two bunnies are deprived of their normal affection, attention, and treats due to their "person" preoccupied with said Toad and ramshackle musicians.

Shortly thereafter the lights, so to speak, go out all over the South Bay.

Searchers find large fibre optic cables mysteriously "severed".

I rest my case.....

diana! this toad is just beautiful. you make such gorgeous lines. i think the only thing upstaging that eye is his back left foot...or maybe his front right one.

i love seeing the different stages of this process as well!

adding my 2 cents to your 90 year old woman story, louise bourgeois said "art is a guaranty of sanity". i find nothing else to be so true.

on a heavier note...there's bunday monday....you did toesday tuesday...what about furday thursday?

as soon as i start playing favorites with the toad's feet i take another look and decide that they are all remarkable! sorry to single a couple of them out, the other don't deserve that!

Beautiful toad. Nose bumps from all of our bunnies here!

The toad is okay, but the bunnies are much nicer.

We might just be biased, though.

The Spots should get some sort of critique column. Love their bumps and thumps :)

Isn't there a deduction for the stuff you buy your classes (although maybe that's one of those schedule A things that has to be over a certain percentage of your income)? Seems to me possible, so be sure to look into it! Lovely toad--ever so much nicer to look at than a 1040.

Hmm.. I never thought I'd say this.. but that toad is beautiful!! Another great piece of art from you :) :)

Taxes.. ugh.. I have until the end of April to do mine. I've been procrastinating and I have a feeling I'll continue to do so until the very last day of the month haha!

Beautiful, Beautiful work but I have to say the Bunny guy is on to something there with the chewed fibre optic cables. 'course it wouldn't help matters much if they hauled you away for forgetting the tax man.
