Tyler and Sydney are just adorable - I love watching their soft noses wiggle while munching on the rose petals. I have never given them to my bunnies, but only because I don't have roses in my garden and I would be weary of giving them those in the flower shops, not knowing if they have been sprayed with pesticides (almost surely!). If I come across an organic rose I will try it out, though!
I haven't tried flowers with my buns, but T & S really love their rose petals!! Have you tried biting into a petal to see how it tastes? Somehow I imagine it would taste bitter.. but I'm probably wrong, T & S wouldn't have enjoyed them so much if they were bitter.
Once upon a time...not too long ago, during the pooping period which drove me crazy..this blogger and ex bunny owner - let her rabbits run loose in the garden. It was a happy ending for the buns..but not for the owner, just 2 hours of free time and the mass destruction done was well..shocking. Every bush and flower within buns reach was gone..finito..sayonara...adios..
FEZ, BG, YWLY, FB, FLFFS- Different sorts of roses seem to have very different tastes. We tried Tyler on another bush, also backyard organic, and he refused, point blank. There is some human rose recipes and involve a lot of sugar, so the petals can be a touch bitter, the part of the petal that attached to the center is the bitterest and removed. Some bunns like the tender leaves too. MK-Bunnies were just do a little gardening as best they know how........nom, nom, nom. Still that must have been very disappointing.

Mom tried to feed us those once... ewwww!
Cadbury wasn't too thrilled when I gave him some, but it's good to know he's just weird.
I love watching rabbits eat, I'd never have thought of rose petals though...

HA, this is GREAT! Bon appétit, bunny!
No squabbling there! Our pairs never squabble over shared food either.
You sure there weren't some Fritos in there too? Looked like maybe ...
They are lovable.
Kisses - Kisses - Kisses

A rose is a rose is a rose is a bun is a bun is a rose. So sweet!
Wouldn't you think that rose petals would have a buttery texture for them?
Glenna- Yes, I think they must have very good "mouth feel" !!!!
Scoff scoff scoff! That is the sweetest thing!
I bet they are delicious!
The best thing I've seen today!!
Mmmmmmm - rose petals. But yes, a bit better on their own. I do love them candied, syruped, dried and in tea and more (and for bunnies?)
Holy cow! They hoovered those petals right up! That was mondo entertaining to watch!
Freckles LOVES rose petals! She'd be snarfing those petals down as fast as Sydney and Tyler!
