Amelia shows her pearly whites, good dental health is important for all animals |
Years ago I had one of those stat counters on the side of my blog that tells you who is visiting and where they are from and what they had for breakfast. After a couple weeks I had to remove it because I felt too self conscious around it. With the newish blogger format there is an easily accessed stat counter, which I visit from time to time out of curiosity. Most of my visitors are from the US, in very close second for the last few months is.......can you guess? Do you know who you are? in very close second is RUSSIA. Will someone or two or three of you Russians PLEASE tell me what you are finding of interest? One of my Face Book friends suggested that there could be some sort of hacking going on through my blog. Could that be? I would much rather think there is an interest in house rabbits in Russia.....

That's a dentist's dream there!
Russia visitors - yup - same in our stats - but - I am not too sure that Google stats are particularly accurate - or should I say - they don't actually count and portray what it suggests they do.
Maybe Russia is anyplace east ot the 100th meridian.
Now that I look at that more, I bet it is the little "crawlers" that the Russian Search Engine has out in the web to gather and index pages. Everytime they find one of your pages it clicks the counter.
I have seen them show up from YAhoo and Microsoft sometimes too.
so if I stop tagging my posts they should stop, I'm going to delete the tags on this post and see if they decrease....
we get the same thing but I do have to say I do have a russian friend so some of it might be her.my highest is the US,then the UK,then Russia
I get a lot of visitors from Russia too.... Interesting.
Lovely photo of Amelia yawning, her ears are magnificent!
I have more twice as many Russian hits as US, in fact, more than have of everyone is from Russia. I think RG is right. My blog is boring and rarely features rabbits.
DUDE......
I get hits from KOREA and the Philipines and my blog is mostly about our chihuahua and other critters.
I not only love bunny yawns, I LOVE when they lick their chops. My girl does it real fast and her cheeks scrunch up and that little pink tongue on her black mouf looks like a glob of bubblegum!
How long did you have to sit with the camera just there before she yawned? Or does she yawn on request? I say yawn, but it does sort of look like she might be singing!
We have Russian visitors too! Here's how ours was recorded:

We also get hits from weird places too, china, Philippines, Singapore and other far east countries also eastern European countries like Bulgaria and Latvia, African countries and south america.Love yawning bunnies
T- I was hanging around with Amelia and Harriet in case I had to referee and I had my camera ready in case there where interesting moments; this was a lucky shot! right place at the right time!
ALL-since no Russians have taken me up on leaving a comment I am assuming that all the hits are the results of automated search engines.
I love this pic! I keep coming back to look at it. She could be laughing, singing, yelling for her servant...and look at her tootsies. Oh and the ears and that nose!
Rabbits rule.
Amelia is practicing her singing. "Fa la la la la la laaaaaaaaaa." Bunny yawns totally crack me up.
No Russians from me. No UFO's or aliens either. Well at least not yet anyway.
What a great shot!
I, too, have been having visitors from Russia. Wonder what's going on? I'd venture a guess that it is something automated, too.
I keep coming back to this picture too. I like it so much! It's a money shot...
I get the Russians too and I bet RG is right.
That is some awesome yawnage right there! :-)
FYI I am not Russian.
BHV-thanks for chiming in, pretty sure at this point that the Russians are search engines.
CB-lol, it is quite a yawn, once in a lifetime photo op.
B- I think you are right
MM-well, for some reason they just haven't found you yet
BB-lol you are the one pumping up my stats :)
Love this shot, but then again love pictures of Amelia!
No Russians here, my second closest visitor is Poland (?), very curious though.
Oh, I love Amelia! That is a great picture of her!
I always thought the Russian visitors were spammers.
I love the bunny yawn too!
