I said I couldn't take fosters, I said I wouldn't take fosters, I said this because I know in my heart I would want to keep the foster, now there is a little Rex boy living in the kitchen waiting for his forever home.
This is Hermes.
Oh did I say I've taken out the kitchen table and chairs to make room for him? no, problem, really, I'll just sit on this footstool and use this teeny folding table for my computer.
No, no we don't need a table to eat off of, no, not at all. Rabbits are more important, after all humans survived for millions of years without kitchen tables, they are hardly a necessity for survival.
Apologies for spotty posting, I've been rather distracted and busy with some family matters. See HERE.

Oh, what a gorgeous boy!
I'm sure Tyler is hoping Hermes will find a forever home very soon--can't have any competition for his status as top ladies' bun in the household. We hope Hermes finds a forever home soon, too. :)
Hermes is adorable. You're so right - who needs a kitchen table when you can have a rabbit?
D, no apology needed.
Hermes, messenger of the gods, comfort Diana & DS, bring them joy and we are so pleased to meet you.
Oh boy. You are in trouble. He is freakin cute. In two years we have kept 5 fosters! The only room that doesn't have rabbits is our bedroom and bathroom. We are now ofically overwhelmed.
Livng room where I sleep have 4Buns, there are 2 in DS's room, Hermes in the kitchen which is really part of the living room, so buns in the bathroom and none in the computer/gaming room (I think all the EMFs would be too stressful for them, plus DS is up until all hours). Tyler is NOT happy with all the other boy bunnies around.
A house with a lot of buns is a ... house with a lot of rabbit hair; that is for sure! But, it's a happy house!
I am so sorry for your loss. He was certainly a great man.
Hermes is adorable, what a sweetie!
Good luck with fining Hermes a forever home, he is adorable. So sleek and such a cute face - reminds me of a 'thin' Patches. Take care - here's hoping you get your furniture and home back soon, which only means Hermes is happily onto his next adventure in life ;o)
So sorry to hear of your loss- I lost my father recently as well. The little bun will help to comfort your heart.
I am so, so sorry for your loss. Your father sounds like an incredible man, in fact, I forwarded his Obit to Jon as I think he will be disappointed he never got to meet him, being a physics buff himself. At least now the suffering is over, for all of you. I hope your father has found peace as I know he was hurting.
As far as Hermes... Buns5? I have read that bonding boys to a group is easier than girls, because girls make more "drama" (just like humans, eh?). Even if Tyler doesn't accept him, perhaps Amelia would like a boyfriend of her own? Must be lonely in her own little pen while Sydney, Tyler, and Harriet have each other...
Just sayin'
Our condolences on the loss of your father. He certainly had a life full of accomplishments. Family moments can be some of life's most enduring memories.
The care of the buns will keep you grounded. Perhaps you should resort to a Bun Zen Center design ethic where all furnishings are at floor level--the buns could probably accustom themselves to futons to sleep on and tatami mats and shoji screens to chew. As for a table, Birdchick from Disapproving Rabbits did have a post on her podcast about a portable birding desk device (http://www.birdchick.com/wp/2011/07/birdchick-podcast-50-robo-gull-gets-mobbed/)that might work for you.
Hermes is a gorgeous little guy.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your relative (was he your father?). What an interesting life he had, right in the thick of all the changes happening in society! Sending hugs your way, and nose rubs too.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I read the first six words of your post and said to myself, "Uh Oh...". He is cute though.
Oh D...I'm so sorry about your Dad. My gracious was he ever an incredibly smart fella! Such an interesting life that seemed to be so well lived. Sending you hugs for your heart. I think Hermes is there to help your heart as well.
xx, shell
Nose rubs to the very Hermes. Super soft Rexie fur, I hope you can stop rubbing on him long enough to find another home :)
Wonderful obit on your Dad, he sounds like an incredible individual. Hugs
Oh, Diana--your daddy. I'm so, so sorry.
The bunny's a cutie. Good thing he's not staying in my house, or I'd keep him too. I'm a fan of rexxies.
Sorry to hear about the death of your father. A full life indeed.
My Dad is 92 and still very active - we are going to visit him (and many sibs) in Michigan in awhile. He will beat me at golf but I might out fish him. BL will for sure. I enjoy these few times.
Hermes - good luck finding a home for such a rotten looking rabbit! I think you are stuck.
I am adding a very small outdoor "patio" along an unused wall of our place. Large enough for two chairs and a small table. (Or a couple bunny condos if I am not careful. Of course then I will have to roof it and probably wall it and then cut a door into the house ....)
I am very sorry to hear about your Dad Diana.
Hermes is a handsome bun. I hope he finds a wonderful home. That is the reason I cant foster. Once they are at my house, they are mine.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your father. He sounded like a really interesting person.
Now, that Hermes. What a cutie. I love Rexies. My Periwinkle was a Mini Rex. They make it pretty easy to love them.
So so sorry. I feel small with my concern over a pony I have only known for a short time. With time, I hope your haert will scar and the pain will lessen. It will never be the same.
and you posted those online dating photos of Hermes with the hope I would show them to Silver, didn't you!? Hermes is very young. What is the rabbit version of cougar?
My condolences about your dad ((hugs))
You have such a big big heart for the bunnies. I hope Hermes finds his forever home binky quick!
