Buns At Work

The multiple doots show that territorial behavior is still on alert, but I think we've dropped down from a red to, is it amber? is that what we call orange? what is between red and yellow? And what color or not on alert at all?

As you can see our own version of the Berlin wall has yet to come down. With the new divided room arrangement it is easier to get Amelia and Harriet out for their deck time. I had thought that the bonding might be enhanced as well, but a few nights ago the girls really mixed it up under the chair, Amelia got her teeth into Harriet's neck and were on the floor kicking each other. Needless to say I got a little spooked and didn't do any bonding until this evening.

Tyler would like to be Harriet's boyfriend.

This time instead of putting Harriet into the space where Amelia was I had put Harriet into Amelia's usual area earlier in the day and popped Amelia in after dinner for a dessert of roses. It went pretty well. At a couple points I felt like maybe they getting close in an aggressive way, so I made disapproving noises and they back off. They are friendly with each other with the fence between them, though can be some boxing.....

Sometimes a fence can be cozy......

Since I have removed the chair, which has time and again proven a prime fight zone. I'd been wanting to move my work desk out of a dark and mostly inaccessible room into the smaller more crowded but lighter bunny filled back room, so I have done that and started carving on for a new print too. This one is off Amelia, working title "Amelia In Her Dream". I'll show more of that as it emerges.

Hope Everybunny is Well and Happy, or at least close to it.

Oh, Tyler. You're handsome, but that doesn't entitle you to a harem, you know.

Thanks for the update on their progress.

seems like the chair was a vessel for discontent, hoping that things lighten up and even out now that it has been removed.
I see there is very little graffiti on your Wall - you have good policing methods on both sides!

Aww, they look pretty relaxed about it all, at least whilst there is a nice dividing wall lol.

You know what Robert Frost said about fences. And, when we had bonding and they grab on to each other then kick like mad, I freaked out as well. Sometimes taking a little time off from bonding is good. And like humans, they have good days and bad days. I'm not sure the scattered dooting is related to the bonding; mine still do it when they get out into the clean room--it's as if they need to fill up all the pristine space.

A few doots never killed anyone (refer to your own comment on my last post!) And if Harriet's OK after being bitten, and it seems as though she is, given that last fence snuggle pic, no harm, no foul. Still, I believe you have the patience of a saint. Or an aescetic, if you prefer.

Hang in there Tyler.

The battle of the doots. I love to say that word "doot, doot, doot." Hee,hee, hee.
It's funny how they are so good when the fence is between them, like a mysterious force field or something. They look like perfect little angels lying next to each other.

MM-doots are funny, sometimes we call them beans too. they are perfect angel buns, sometimes Harriet gets this look in her eye and you know she's going to lunge....avenging angel.
PVB-Thye are waiting for something, I'm not sure what. Good luck with your bunnies!
P-I keep telling them of the joys of a fenceless room, all the advantages and freedoms...
A-As the Bun Turns....:) The Bun and Restless?
C-They need you to give them a good talking to!
L-Oh gosh, no, I've got nothing against doots, not ever, they are the calling card of intestinal health. Just using them as data....I love doots.
G-Doots are Bun performance art, MOMA needs to be informed of this.
T-something about the fence is very reassuring.
AFT-I agree there was something bad about that chair......I never liked it because it did strange things to my neck.....
CGP-must record for posterity LOL.
H-they really do seem to like each other sometimes!
BG- not on good looks alone does Tyler rule his girls, no he is a smart boy too! and a diligent groomer.
MOC- of course you would say it was orange! :)
